Bringing joy at Christmas time by providing new toys and games, as well as essential items like toiletries and clothing. Next Chapter (formerly known as Colchester & Tendring Women’s Refuge) is a domestic abuse charity primarily working across the areas of Braintree, Chelmsford, Colchester, Maldon, Tendring & Uttlesford. They provide free and confidential services to support people who are currently experiencing or have previously experienced domestic abuse. They also provide; support for women and children seeking refuge from abuse, emotional support for children and young people, parenting support, family work, and group work. “We are passionate about ensuring that every person has the opportunity to live their lives free from domestic abuse. We provide free and confidential services to support people who are currently experiencing or have previously experienced domestic abuse. With our support, survivors of domestic abuse can reclaim their lives and choose the future they want.” – Next Chapter The toy donation that DPL provided meant that more children were able to enjoy and open a present on Christmas Day. It brought smiles to faces that might otherwise have gone without, making the festive season brighter for families in need. Creating moments of joy and nurturing a sense of community and goodwill at Christmas, values we all need to carry into the new year.
