A new offering from DPL 

We’re excited to announce the launch of Green Technology Solutions (Suffolk) Ltd (GTS). 

GTS is a brand new company which forms part of the overall DPL Group, and is dedicated to providing efficient, modern and cleaner heating and cooling solutions within a wide array of environments. 

GTS will specialise in air conditioning, heat pumps and refrigeration, and will operate out of Suffolk with services offered by highly trained engineers.

Reece Sleightholme has recently joined the GTS team as one of the group directors, and will be offering his expertise in providing technical support to customers and colleagues, as well as overseeing the growth and development of the GTS brand.

We sat down with him to pick his brains about the exciting new company and the role he’ll be playing there. 

So, Reece, tell us more about your background and what you’ll be bringing to the table at GTS.

I’m now in my tenth year within the air conditioning and refrigeration industry. Having started as a trainee, I spent my first two years working alongside engineers to learn the craft, backed up with two-week block releases at Ellis Training Centre to carry out my NVQ L2 Diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. 

I worked up to become a service engineer and went out on the road, carrying out routine maintenance, faulting finding, and breakdown visits. After three years, I began spending time in the office to learn the different elements of refrigeration and air conditioning design, before making a full-time move into a technical sales role which covered design, project management, estimating and various other elements.

Earlier this year, I was approached with the opportunity of becoming a Director for GTS, with the aim of building and growing the business alongside the other group directors, and here we are!

Three weeks in, we are up and running as GTS. As a director, I’m now covering a wide array of tasks and duties to get us on our way of becoming an established contractor within East Anglia.

To summarise, I’m loving it!

What services will GTS be offering?

GTS is an Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Heat Pump contractor. 

Our aim is to provide greener and cleaner solutions as we enter this renewable energy transition from traditional methods. We are an all-in-one solutions provider; offering experienced in-house services all the way through from the initial design stage to the transition into installation, and the future servicing and maintaining of our solutions.

How does GTS tie into the DPL Group?

GTS has been born out of the DPL Group and shares the same core values and principles. 

Everyone within the group adopts the no-negativity approach and all work with a can-do attitude. Regarding in-house services, HVAC was the final piece missing from the DPL jigsaw of being able to offer all forms of building services work directly, but that has now been taken care of with the creation of GTS. As well as an extension of DPL, GTS will also be operating as any other form of HVAC contractor, offering its services and solutions to a wide array of clients and customers.
